Ronald
C. Rawson
Ron,
a San Francisco native, is the principal
of R&R Ventures, a venture development
group promoting financial advisory
through his extensive network of
strategic alliances, business development,
and funding relationships for high
growth businesses. He has worn many
hats throughout his 30 year career
as a serial entrepreneur, including
25 years as owner, manager and President
of R. C. Rawson Co., a family business
in international plastics manufacturing,
and distribution.
Ron
is also a thought leader in issues
of consumer payments (credit, debit,
smart-chip, wireless mobile, pre-paid),
and has worked with clients such
as American Express, Bank of America,
Visa International, MasterCard,
and Chevron USA.He has held investor,
advisor, and/or operating roles
in high growth businesses promoting
branded media content, pre-paid
payroll cards, consumer directed
health care, biotechnology and stem
cell development, alternative e-commerce
payments, merchant acquisition,
cross border money transfer, “cleantech”
such as solar power wafer manufacturing,
“water arbitrage/sales”
and recycling in California’s
Central Valley, as well as other
mature manufacturing and supply
chain based growth companies.
Mr.
Rawson consults with venture capital
partnerships; has been a speaker
at financial industry conferences
and gatherings; is active in investment
circles, and follows seed capital
and early business formation gatherings
with diligence. He serves as an
advisor for seed funded companies,
and sits on the Executive Resource
Board for Lee, Hecht, Harrison,
a Fortune 500 national outplacement
and career-counseling firm. His
professional investor associations
have included Golden Gate Angels,
Keiretsu Forum, VC Task Force, InnerCircle
Ventures, Virtual Founders Fund
and Global Media Ventures. Ron has
authored many published articles,
and currently reviews opportunity
and expansion of growth companies
on many platforms, often collaborating
with the venture and private equity
industries. He holds a Bachelors
from UCLA and an MBA in Finance
from Golden Gate University. As
a former All America swimmer, Ron
enjoys running, swimming and riding
bicycles, and also enjoys performing
with professional musical groups
on his harmonica. |
